All our teachers hail from prestigious universities including The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Mannes College of Music, the New England Conservatory, Berklee College of Music, and SUNY Purchase, among others.
Each one goes through vigorous interview process to meet the highest standards to insure the highest quality of instruction.

Just getting started? Are you an advanced musician? As a beginner, one of the most important decisions you will make is your music teacher. Music teachers are our guide to the musical galaxy. It’s about more than identifying notes and rhythms, or proper hand position and the right technique . Selecting a teacher with the right background is critical. When just beginning, it’s essential to find an instructor who can methodically guide you through the steps of learning music and build a program that will support your needs as a student.
As an advanced student, an instructor with the scope to guide you through advanced concepts and a high level of musicianship is crucial. Since we all learn differently, and at a different pace, it’s important to make sure your music teacher has the ability to understand your learning style and make appropriate decisions to support it.
We offer morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend time slots for your convenience. Our teachers cater to each student’s musical level from serious classical training to Broadway, pop, and jazz.
Our goal is to give students a solid technical foundation, while nurturing their passion for music. If you are not satisfied with the instruction received, please contact us immediately!
Homeschool Music Conservatory administrators schedule weekly lessons for the entire academic school year (Sept. through mid-June). Summer lessons are also available. If you need to make a time shift, please contact HMC !
Teachers drive from house to house to teach, and do their very best to be timely. Because traffic is often a factor, teachers will call the student when running more than 10 minutes late. Teachers may still end the lesson at the scheduled end-time, but will try to extend future lessons to make up the time missed due to lateness.
Recitals
Held at Bronxville Women’s Club, Bronxville, NY
A unique and enriching musical experience for students of all ages and ability levels. Performances build confidence, showcase musical progression and talents and allow students to listen to their peers perform.
Materials
As a convenience to our families, our teachers provide all materials (books, manuscript paper, downloaded songs, etc.). You will see materials purchased by your teacher listed on your monthly invoice.
In Home Liability
We check references and do background checks on all teachers. Because my school offers in-home lessons, a parent or guardian is required to be home at all times while a lesson is taking place. At no time should a teacher and student be left alone in your home. HMC clients release and hold harmless HMC LLC, its owner(s)/operator(s) from any and all liability, claims, demands and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury that may be sustained by the participant while a HMC instructor is teaching in a client’s home.
Cancellation
Because our teachers reserve your time slot for the school year, only two cancellations with proper notice (24 hrs prior to lesson time) are allowed per semester. If more than two cancellations occur, you will be billed at the full rate for the cancelled lesson.
