Visha Nguyen-Voskresensky (Kim Ngan Nguyen), pianist, educator, PhD in Art history, as well as the first, and only Vietnamese pianist who performed and recorded Bach’s all 48 Preludes and Fugues, all 6 Partitas for clavier and Goldberg-variations was born in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam. On the age of 14, with strong passion and courage she left the country and came alone to Moscow for learning music. She was fortunate to study in classes of great professors who belong to the unsurpassed piano school in the world.

Visha Nguyen-Voskresensky successfully started her artistic career with international competitions (1st prize – Rubinstein’s piano competition in Paris, 1st prize – Piano international competition in Russian conservatory in Paris, 2nd prize – International Olympic of Music in Moscow, 3rd prize – Scriabin’s international piano competition in Moscow), and after she actively expanded her performance art in Europe and Asia as well.

Her recital and performances with orchestras took places in the best halls of musical arenas like Grand Hall, Small Hall, Rachmaninov’s Hall of Moscow Tchaikovsky conservatory, concert hall of Moscow Phylharmonic, concert hall of HCMC conservatory of music, concert hall of Vietnam National Academy of music, concert hall of Mariinsky Theater in Saint-Petersburg…

In 2014 she dedicated herself to deep study of Bach’s music and released one of the most complicated works in piano literature – “48 Preludes and Fugues of Well Tempered Clavier” with 2 recitals and 2 sets of CDs which were recorded in Grand Hall of Moscow conservatory.

Her passion to Bach’s music hadn’t been interrupting with performance of “All 6 Partitas for clavier” in one recital, which had been also considered a unique project in Russia.

Countinuing her own career in New York city, Ms. Nguyen-Voskresensky conquered the new audience with deep, originally passionate interpretation of  “Goldberg-variations” – the longest piano work in music history.

In 2019 Visha Nguyen-Voskresensky became a Doctor of phylosophy in Art History with the topic about Russian traditions of piano school in contemporaneity. In base of current dissertation she released a book. In 2020 later she’d become a piano staff in Moscow Tchaikovsky conservatory until leaving Russia to USA in 2022.

Having more than 10 years of experience in piano teaching and serious attitude to early education Doctor Nguyen-Voskresensky actively leads the piano classes for kids, as well as for adults from beginning to enhanced levels. She also gives Master-classes in various festivals and takes a part as member of jury at International piano competitions (The 1st and 2nd International Piano competitions named after E.M. Timakin in Moscow, International competition “Alegro” in Nerekhta)

She also cooperates in ensemble performance with opera singers with classical and contemporary projects.
